This 9-hole par 36 course was originally designed by Dave Thomas (Designer of Valderama, La Manga and The Belfry) although Nicklaus design is expanding the course to 18 holes and adapting the original 9. The course has a smooth feel, wide fairways and large, simply shaped bunkers.

Mar Menor Resort boasts a lovely clubhouse integrated within the Intercontinental Hotel. It also offers a choice of several restaurants and bars and a small supermarket and bank.

The Intercontinental Hotel is very luxurious and the restaurants at the Hotel are excellent if not a bit pricey (but you do get what you pay for.). If you are feeling very extravagant and your partner doesn’t play golf, we would recommend the Spa at the Intercontinental Hotel for a pampering session, or even the whole day. Outside the hotel there is a lovely pool area, and bar where non golfers could spend the day.
